Nova Headspa & Medspa

Nova Headspa & Medspa is a McKinney, Texas, spa that pairs Japanese head spa treatments with medspa services such as facials, waxing and lashes.

The website lists Japanese Headspa treatments alongside Botox, Russian Lips, facials, waxing and lashes, so a head spa visit can sit within a wider menu of beauty services. Reviewers describe the head spa as deeply relaxing, with a scalp analysis, a head wash and a head massage. One guest chose a package that included skincare. Another had a 60-minute session with an add-on for extra massage that covered the head, neck, shoulders and arms. A guest with a dry scalp said her scalp felt noticeably better afterward.

Guests often mention the calm setting: a tidy, well-organized space, pleasant scents, soothing music and modern equipment. Therapists come across as gentle, attentive and welcoming, and one reviewer who was pregnant said the staff helped her feel comfortable throughout. One first-time guest suggested that more time on the massage and some at-home scalp tips would be a welcome addition.

Nova suits first-time head spa guests, people with a dry scalp, and anyone who wants to combine a scalp treatment with facials or other medspa services. Reviewers say men enjoy it too.
