Heal Asian Massage Spa

Heal Asian Massage Spa in Lakewood, Washington, offers head spa sessions alongside deep tissue and therapeutic massage.

The head spa menu has two options: the Classic Head Spa (30 minutes, from $50) and Hair Wash + Scalp Treatment (45 minutes). Guests with long hair should expect a $10 surcharge. The spa describes its head spa as the only such service in the Tacoma area.

Body work is the larger part of the menu. Deep tissue massage comes in 30, 60, 75 and 90 minute sessions, and there is a 60 minute therapeutic massage. Add-ons include essential oil, cupping and cream. The website also lists facial care, deep facial cleansing, an oil spa with a warm herbal poultice and back walking massage.

Reviewers consistently praise the therapists for listening to problem areas, checking and adjusting pressure, and working out stubborn knots. They describe the rooms as warm, quiet and clean. The spa suits people with desk-job or physical-labor tension who want firm, focused massage, and anyone who wants to add a scalp treatment to a visit. One reviewer found the pressure very intense, so say what you prefer when you book.
